Introduction to the Speaker Test online tool

Speaker Test allows you to test your speaker online, directly in your browser. It also provides instructions on how to fix your speaker on many voice and video calls applications and on many devices.

There are many reasons why your speaker might not be working. You might have speaker issues if the application using the speaker is not set correctly. Or the speaker might not function at all on your device, regardless of the application you're using.

Speaker Test allows you to test if your speaker is detected and works correctly on your device. So you can work out if your speaker issues are from your device itself or with the application using the speaker. Either way, we've got instructions on how to fix your speaker issues.

After starting the test, make sure that your sound level is high enough. You should hear music from your default speaker. You’ll also find a dropdown menu allowing you to select other speakers (if some are available on your device). So, you can test all the speakers on your device. If you cannot hear any sound, check out the instructions specific to your device and application.

Privacy Protected

We develop secure online tools that are cloud-based or that execute locally on your device. Protecting your privacy is one of our main concerns when developing our tools.

Our online tools which execute locally on your device don't need to send your data (your files, your audio or video data, etc.) over the internet. All the work is done locally by the browser itself, making these tools very fast and secure. To achieve this we use HTML5 and WebAssembly, a form of code that is run by the browser itself allowing our tools to execute at near-native speed.

We work hard to make our tools run locally on your device since avoiding sending data over the internet is more secure. Sometimes however this is not optimal or possible for tools which for example require high processing power, display maps aware of your current location, or allow you to share data.

Our cloud-based online tools use HTTPS to encrypt your data sent to and downloaded from our cloud infrastructure, and only you have access to your data (unless you have chosen to share it). This makes our cloud-based tools very secure.

For more information, see our Privacy Policy.
